Terms

Last updated: October 2026

By using THE JURY you agree to the rules below. They are short on purpose: this is a voting site, not a courtroom.

What a verdict is

A verdict is the opinion of the people who happened to vote. It is not legal, medical, financial or therapeutic advice, it is not a finding of fact, and it does not decide who is right. Nobody here has heard the other side except through what you chose to write. If a decision has real consequences, talk to a professional.

What you may post

Dilemmas you have a personal stake in, described honestly. Do not post:

Evidence photos

Attach a photo only if it is yours to share and it does not identify someone who did not agree to be here. Blur or crop names, faces and handles before you upload. Uploaded images are compressed in your browser and stored with the case; they are not scanned automatically for personal data.

Moderation

We can hide a case or a comment that breaks these rules, with or without notice. Hiding removes it from public view but keeps the record, so a mistake can be undone. Repeated abuse can cost you Karma or access. There is no appeal process beyond writing to us and asking.

Your content, our licence

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and reproduce it on this site and in previews of this site, for as long as it is published. You can ask us to remove it; removal ends the licence for future use but not for copies already made by others.

Karma and rewards

Karma is a score inside this site. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or redeemed, and can be adjusted or reset if the ledger is abused. Reward pools attached to a case are paid out in Karma, not money.

Paid features

Optional paid features are charged through a payment provider at the price shown at checkout. If a paid case fails to reach its threshold, the charge is refunded under the terms shown on that checkout screen.

Availability

The site is provided as it is, without warranty. It may be unavailable, and data may be lost. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.

Ending it

You can stop using the site at any time. We can suspend access if these terms are broken.
